A simple productivity hack for iOS.

You frequently write the same names and phrases. For example, the name of your company or “Thank you for your message”. If you use iOS you can easily configure a text shortcut for each one.

To set this up go to “System Preferences > Keyboard” and then select the “Text” tab.

In the “Replace” column you can type the shortcut you want and in the “With” column the full text.

I always use a text starting with the “x” for the replace because few words start with that letter. For example, if I type “xques” the text “Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any additional questions.” appears.

This saves me from the frustration of having to type the same texts over and over, as well as a few hours a year.
